QA Inspector 

Job Summary 

American NTN Bearing Manufacturing Corporation is looking for a QA Inspector in Elgin, IL.  In this position, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting products at various stages of production process.

Responsibilities 

  • Calibration and routine monitoring/maintenance of gauges, dial indicators and calipers, etc., in accordance to standards and procedures. 

  • Control of gauge calibration records via GAGE Trak management software. 

  • Evaluates data and interprets reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards

  • Perform other laboratory support functions as required 

Skills and Abilities  

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals 

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence 

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization 

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals 

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs 

Education and/or Experience  

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. 

Physical Requirements  

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.   

  • Regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.    

  • This position requires sufficient vision to see details at close range, so the person can pass an inspection test of finished parts and components.
